The radio will switch on and after one hour it
will switch off again automatically.
You can switch the radio on again for one
hour as often as you like.
"Beep" sound after pressing a
button
Functions which require you to press any
button for longer than 2 seconds to store the
information can be confirmed acoustically by
a beep. The factory preset volume of the
beep can be adjusted in DSC mode under
BEEP using the rocker switch <</>>. You
can store different values for this setting
separately on KeyCard 1 and 2.

Adjusting the volume

To adjust the volume
press the VOL+ button to increase or
the VOL- button to decrease the volu-
me.
The display ranges from 0 to +63.
If you have set a relatively loud volume and
would like to reduce it immediately,
press the -dB button. MUTE will then
appear in the display.
If you want to reset the original volume, then
press the -dB button again briefly or the
VOL+ button.

In order to alter the MUTE value (display
MUTE),
first press the VOL- button.
Set the desired volume using either the
VOL+ or the VOL- button.
In order to store this new setting
press the -dB button for longer than 2
seconds.
After a short period the display will switch to
either radio or CD mode once again.

Adjusting the basic volume

You can program your radio so that it will
switch on at a certain volume.
Use the VOL FIX function in the DSC mode
(Direct Software Control).
Press the DSC button and then the
rocker switch
.
VOL FIX will appear in the display.
Set the desired volume using the rok-
ker switch <</>>.
In order to store this setting
press the DSC button.
The radio will switch back to the original
volume setting first.
Turn it off and on again once to obtain the
new setting.
You can store different values for this setting
separately on KeyCard 1 and 2.

Adjusting the balance and fader

You can alter the volume relationship bet-
ween the loudspeakers on the left and right
(balance).
If you have connected four loudspeakers to
this system, you can also regulate the volu-
me relationship for front and rear (fader).
Activate the balance and fader function with
the AUD button.
Press the AUD button twice.
Either BAL (balance) or FAD (fader) and a
number between -9 and +9 will appear in the
display.
In order to adjust the balance (right/left)
press the rocker switch <</>>.
In order to adjust the fader (front/rear)
press the rocker switch
The number in the display will change accor-
dingly between -9 and +9. It will automatically
stop at 0 (same volume relationship between
left and right or front and rear).
Finish making the new setting by pressing
the AUD button; otherwise the display will
return to radio or CD mode approximately 8
seconds after the last adjustment has been
made.
