The following must be observed to
prevent a fire hazard or other dam-
ages.
8 8 Use only unleaded gasoline.
Use of leaded gasoline will
cause unrepairable damage to
the catalytic converter.
8 8 Never park this motorcycle in
an area that would cause a fire
hazard such as grass or other
materials that may easily burn.
8 8 Do not allow the engine to idle
for very long.

Two-stroke engine oil

Make sure there is sufficient two-
stroke engine oil in the oil tank. Add
the recommended oil as necessary.
Recommended oil:
Yamalube 2 or 2-stroke
engine oil (JASO FC grade or
ISO EG-C, EG-D grade)
Oil quantity:
1.2 L

Fuel cock

The fuel cock supplies fuel from the
tank to the carburetor while filtering it
also.
The fuel cock has three positions:
OFF
With the lever in this position, fuel will
not flow. Always return the lever to
this position when the engine is not
running.
