Note 1: Don't connect or disconnect MIDI cables
during playing or recording on the SQD-
8 or while playing keyboard of connected
MIDI instrument.
Note 2: When using MIDI keyboard, please take
care not to apply transposition to the
keyboard or to change the tuning. When
using drum-machine, etc., which can
designate the note number with keypad
instead of keyboard, please confirm the
note-number with the manual of the
instrument.

To playback after recording is finished,
please see "Play" (p. 19).

MIDI instrument are correctly connected
and the power supply is on.

set display function mark (

Choose a track number to be used for
recording using the Track Key.
"REC" flashes on the chosen track
number in the track indication display.

designated for recording.

Setting and changing beat.
1. Push BEAT KEY

2. Move DATA SLIDER

up and down to
confirm or change beat.
. Beat indication will be changed.
. Time signature that can be set by the
SQD-8 are 2/4, 3/4, 4/4, 5/4 and 6/4.
3. Push Beat Key again after confirmation
or change is finished.

Setting or changing beat is not possible
unless MEASURE indication is O.
