Microwave Oven Hood Combo Service Manual — LIT 4317216
PROBLEM
Little or no heat is produced
in the oven load.
Oven fuse blows when the
door is opened.
Oven lamp goes on with the
door open, but the light goes
out when the door is closed
with the control on.
The power source fuse blows
when the door starts to open.
Fan motor will not operate.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
1.
High voltage transformer.
2.
Rectifier diode.
3.
High voltage capacitor.
4.
Magnetron.
5.
Power selector.
1.
Primary interlock switch.
2.
Shorted wire harness.
1.
Secondary interlock.
1.
High voltage trans-
former.
2.
Secondary circuit of the
high voltage transformer
is shorted.
3.
High voltage capacitor is
shorted.
4.
Shorted wiring between
the above components.
5.
Blower motor.
1.
Fan motor.
2.
Open or loose wiring in
circuit to fan motor.

TEST PROCEDURE
OR CORRECTION
1.
Check the high voltage
transformer.
2.
Check the high voltage
rectifier diode.
3.
Check the high voltage
capacitor.
4.
Check the magnetron.
5.
Check the power selec-
tor.
1.
Check primary interlock
switch.
2.
Repair wiring.
1.
Check secondary inter-
lock.
1.
Check the high voltage
transformer.
2.
Check the high voltage
transformer.
3.
Check the high voltage
capacitor.
4.
Use an ohmmeter to
check continuity, and
repair wiring.
5.
Check blower motor.
1.
Check fan motor.
2.
Use ohmmeter to check
continuity, and repair
wiring.
