Card reader board for use in HP EliteBook 850 models
Before removing the card reader board, follow these steps:
1.
Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn
the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2.
Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer.
3.
Disconnect all external devices from the computer.
4.
Remove the following components:
a.
Service cover (see
b.
Battery (see
c.
Fan (see
d.
Keyboard (see
e.
Base enclosure (see
Remove the card reader board:
1. Disconnect the larger card reader cable (1) and the smaller touchpad cable (2) from the the card
reader board.
2. Using a thin tool, pry up the left side of the board to disengage it from the top cover (3).
