Calibration Modes
Smart: If this mode is checked, when you use the ScanWizard Bio for the
first time, you will be asked to calibrate your scanner and the system will
generate and store a set of calibration data with different values of scan
types and resolutions. Once the calibration data is made, you don't need to
calibrate the scanner anymore even when the scan type and resolution are
changed, enhancing scanning speed dramatically. This mode is always
checked for some scanner models (e.g., Bio-6000, Bio-6000T).
Typical: If this mode is checked, the ScanWizard Bio will need to re-
calibrate your scanner and re-generate the calibration data every time when
you start a new scanning job. This mode is always grayed out for some
scanner models (e.g., Bio-6000, Bio-6000T)
Reset Current Calibration Data
This option allows you to remove the calibration data you are using presently;
however, other calibration data you have created previously will not be affected.
Once the current calibration data has been removed, you will need to calibrate
the scanner again in order to retrieve the same calibration data.
To remove the current calibration data, click the "Execute" button next to the
"Reset Current Calibration Data" option. The current calibration data file saved
in "C:\Program Files\Microtek\ScanWizard Bio\Scanners" folder will be removed
automatically.
Reset All Calibration Data
This option allows you to remove all calibration data from your system. Once all
calibration data has been removed, you will need to re-calibrate the scanner and
generate all new calibration data for your scanner once again.
To remove all calibration data, click the "Execute" button next to the "Reset All
Calibration Data" option. The current calibration data file saved in "C:\Program
Files\Microtek\ScanWizard Bio\Scanners" folder will be removed automatically.
