Remove surround frame from packaging. Be very careful
to not cut into the steel frame or scratch the paint. Set
aside.
NOTICE: All fi ngerprints and smudges must be wiped
clean from the viewable surfaces of the surround kit prior
to the initial burning of the fi replace. If this is not done,
these prints and smudges will be cured into the fi nish and
set for the life of the fi replace. To keep the fi nish looking
its best, gently wipe with a soft cloth and if desired, soap
and water. Never use thinner or abrasive cleaners since
these products will damage the fi nish.
CAUTION! The surround kit is heavy. We recommend
two installers to put the frames in place.
Remove the twelve screws holding the rock templates
(if in place) from the fi replace. Discard the screws and
templates.

Install the "L" plates onto the frame/surround using the
5/8 in. bolts from the fastener pack.
-
The "L" plates are interchangeable diagonally from
corner to corner, but not from top to bottom or side to
side.
-
Tighten the bolts, taking care to not scratch the powder
coating on the bolt head.
-
Do not overtighten the bolts. A snug fi t is enough to
hold the "L" plates in place.
