The line and call icon changes depending on the line status (for example,
registered line or unregistered line) or call status (for example, dialing in
progress or a call on hold).

User Guide for the Polycom
Description
A call is in progress using Polycom HD Voice. The
active call icons merge into one icon on the phone
screen. For example:
A call is in progress that doesn't use
Polycom HD Voice.
A conference call is in progress.
The phone is dialing a number.
The Do Not Disturb feature is enabled on your
phone. Your phone will not ring. All calls will display
in the Missed Calls list.
A specific forwarding feature ("Always") has been
enabled on your phone. All incoming calls will be
forwarded to a number you have specified.
A call or conference is on hold.
You have one or more new messages.
The phone can place and receive calls.
The phone, which shares a directory number with
another phone, can place and receive calls.
The phone is ringing.
The phone is unable to place and receive calls.
