Loading MapSource
Waypoints on Your c550
Using MapSource, you can save
locations (also called waypoints) and
transfer them to your c550. For more
information about creating waypoints in
MapSource, see the Help file (press F1
to open the Help file).
After you have created the waypoints,
select
File
> Save. Select
eXchange Format
as
Type. Click the
With your c550 connected to your
computer, copy the *.gpx file into the
Garmin\gpx
folder in the "Garmin"
drive. The waypoints you created in
MapSource are now in

Favorites.
Viewing Your Saved
Locations in MapSource
You can also view the locations you have
saved in your c550 using MapSource.

In MapSource, select
GPS eXchange Format
Select
Files of
Type. Browse to find the

Garmin\gpx
folder on your "Garmin"
drive. Select Current.gpx, and click
Open.
Using the Garmin Travel
Guide
Much like a paper travel guide, the
Garmin Travel Guide provides detailed
information about places, such as
restaurants and hotels. To purchase
the Travel Guide accessory, go to the
Garmin Web site at
extras. You can also contact your Garmin
dealer to purchase accessories.
To use the Travel Guide:
1. Insert the SD card into your c550.
2. Touch

3. Touch the Travel Guide.
4. Touch a category. Touch a sub-
category, if necessary.
5. Touch a location in the list.
