Thermally Operated Vent Dampers:Gas-firedwater heaters
having thermal emciency in excess of 80%may produce a rela-
tivelylowflue gastemperature.Suchtemperatures maynot be
high enough to properly open thermally operated vent
damper_This wouldcausespillage of fluegases andmay cause
carbonmonoxide poisoning.
