Chapter 2 - Initial Setup

Computer connection

Caution:
Power to the printer and computer must be turned off and
the power cables unplugged before connecting or
disconnecting the printer cable to prevent any damage or
malfunction from occurring.

Macintosh USB connection

1. Please make sure that the power is turned off. If
the computer has started, please shut down the
computer again and turn the power off.
2. Connect the printer (2) to the computer (3) using
the USB cable (1).

Caution:
Using extension cables can cause printing problems.

Macintosh SCSI connection

When using Macintosh SCSI connection, the SCSI
adapter must be fitted.
