1. Important safety information regarding the placement of this
device is provided on Page 29. Please review it before
proceeding.
2. Make sure that power to all the devices you will be installing has
been turned off. You must unplug the power cords of any
computers that have the Keyboard Power On function.

Cable Connections

To set up your CS1782 installation, refer to the installation diagrams on the
following pages (the numbers in the diagrams correspond to the steps, below),
and do the following:
1. Plug your USB keyboard and USB mouse into the USB Console Ports
located on the unit's back panel.
2. Plug your microphone, speakers, and monitor into the Console ports
located on the unit's rear panel.
Note: Use the green and pink audio ports only for 2.1 channel surround
sound audio. Use all audio ports for 7.1 channel surround sound.
3. Using the KVM cable set, plug the DVI connector into any available DVI
socket in the CPU Port section of the switch, then plug the accompanying
USB, microphone and speaker connectors into their corresponding USB,
microphone, and speaker sockets. If you are using 7.1 channel surround
sound, also use the additional custom audio cable set provided with the
package. See 4b, following.
Note: Verify that all the plugs are in the same CPU Port sockets (all in Port
1, all in Port 2, etc.), and that each socket is marked with an
appropriate icon.
