    NOTE: If you see a message stating that no diagnostics utility partition has been found, run the Dell Diagnostics from your Drivers and Utilities media. If you wait too long and the operating system logo appears, continue to wait until you see the Microsoft® Windows® desktop. Then shut down your computer and try again.

  • Page 14 4. Press the blue securing tabs on each side of the hard-drive assembly and slide the assembly up and out of the computer. 5. Disconnect the hard-drive power cable. 6. Disconnect the hard-drive fan cable.
  • Page 15 7. Remove the hard-drive assembly from the computer. 8. Pull on the blue tab to disconnect the hard-drive data cable from the hard-drive assembly.
  • Page 16 9. Remove the hard-drive data cable from the outside of the hard-drive assembly. 10. Remove the hard-drive fan cable from the outside of the hard-drive assembly.
  • Page 17 11.  Lift the blue tab and rotate it counter-clockwise to release the hard-drive fan from the hard-drive assembly. 12. Remove the hard-drive fan from the hard drive assembly.
