Setting the GPS clock

The GPS receiver used in this system is synchronized to the time data being transmitted by the
GPS satellites. The satellite's clock is Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). This is the world-wide
standard for time. This makes the system's clock very accurate, once the appropriate time zone
has been set.
1
Press the MENU button to display the
main menu bar. Select Setup from the
main menu and press ENTER. The
Setup menu appears.
Select Clock from the Setup menu and
press ENTER.
2
From the Clock Set Up screen, select
Time Zone and press ENTER. Choose
the appropriate Time Zone for your
location and press ENTER to store your
selection (in this case, Pacific).
Note: If crossing Time Zones while driving, the
clock must be reset manually for the new zone.
