If your source device has an HDMI output, use the
connections for HDMI devices described on this page
instead of component video.
Required:
1. RCA-type component video cables
2. Audio cable(s)
2a. Digital audio cable
or
2b. Left/right analog stereo audio cables.
Note:
• To hear digital surround sound from the TV's
Sound Projector speaker array, connect the digital
audio output from the device to the TV's DIGITAL
AUDIO INPUT jack.
• To hear digital surround sound from an external
sound system, connect the digital audio output
from the device directly to your digital A/V receiver.

HDMI Device

Suitable for use with Sound Projector surround

Required: HDMI-to-HDMI cable.
Connect an HDMI cable from the TV back panel to the
HDMI device output. HDMI devices provide video and
audio through the single cable. This connection sends
digital surround sound from the source device to the
TV's speaker array.
Mitsubishi recommends you use category 2 (high-
speed) HDMI cables to connect HDMI 1.3 source
devices. High-speed category 2 cables bring you the
full benefits of Deep Color and x.v.Color. See "HDMI
Cable Categories" on the opposite page for more on
HDMI cable types.
