CHAPTER 1
This chapter describes concerning the specifications and configuration of the intelligent disk drive. The
MAF3364FC and MAG series intelligent disk drives (IDD) are high performance, large capacity 3.5 inch
fixed magnetic disk drives with a built-in fibre channel controller. The interface used to connect the
MAF3364FC and MAG series intelligent disk drives with the host system is compatible with the SCSI
standard.
It complies with the fibre channel PLDA standard "NCITS TR-19 FIBRE CHANNEL
PRIVATE LOOP SCSI DIRECT ATTACH (FC-PLDA)" which includes all from the fibre channel
physical hierarchy to the SCSI command protocol.
