Quality setting in High-sensitivity mode
If you try to select a quality setting (➡P.29) other than "
mode, " " appears blinking and the quality cannot be changed.

SENSITIVITY

1 Slide the Power switch to the side to turn the
camera on.
2 Set the Mode switch to " ".
3 Press the Photo mode ( ) button.

In " " Movie mode, do not set the " " (sensitivity) setting.
Sensitivity is retained even if you turn the camera
off or change the Mode switch setting.
1 Press "d" or "c" to select the " " setting and
then press "a" or "b" to change the setting.
2 Press the "MENU/OK" button to confirm the
setting.

While selecting a higher sensitivity setting will allow you to
take pictures in darker locations, it will also increase the
amount of speckling in your images.
Choose the sensitivity setting that best suits the conditions.
Select AUTO as the sensitivity setting and the
camera automatically selects the appropriate
sensitivity setting for the subject brightness.
The AUTO sensitivity setting can be selected in
" " in the SHOOTING MODE.
High-sensitivity photography ( 800 )
When high sensitivity (800) is selected, the quality
is automatically set to " ".
When using a high sensitivity setting, "
appears on the LCD monitor.

-STANDARD The contrast and color saturation are set to standard. Use this mode for normal photography.
The contrast and color saturation are set to high. This feature is effective for taking more vivid

shots of subjects such as scenery (blue sky and greenery) and flowers.
This setting converts the colors in the photographed image to black and white.

Because the effects on the image differ depending on the
ＣＨＲＯＭＥ ＣＨＲＯＭＥ scene being shot in -CHROME mode, take pictures in
ＳＴＡＮＤＡＲＤ ＳＴＡＮＤＡＲＤ standard mode as well as this mode. Note that you may not
be able to see any difference on the LCD monitor.

automatic quality adjustment will be suppressed on Exif Print
compliant printers.
