Setup Menu Options
(underlined options are the factory default settings)
Select the preferred audio language for DVD playback.
Select the preferred subtitle language for DVD playback.
Notes:
If the selected audio/subtitle language is not available on the disc, the
disc's default setting language will be used instead.
For some DVDs, the subtitle/audio language can only be changed via
the DVD disc menu.
Set the aspect ratio of the recorder according to the type of TV
connected.
{ 4:3 PS }
– Select this for a full-height picture with
both sides of the TV screen trimmed.
{ 4:3 LB }
– Select this for a 'wide screen' display with
black bands on the upper and lower
portions of the TV screen.
{ 16:9 }
– Select this for wide screen TV (frame ratio
16:9).
Start playback of a disc at its last stopped point. This only applies
to playback after the recorder has been switched to standby
mode or if the disc had been ejected from the disc tray. (This
option is only available for DVDs/VCDs).
{ Off }
– Turn off the resume mode. The disc will
start playback from the fi rst title.
{ On }
– Turn on the resume mode. The recorder
will automatically resume playback of the
disc from its last stopped position.
Note: When resume playback begins, press PREV/FRV button to cancel
the resume mode and start playback from the beginning of the disc.
