Setting up the Scanner Server PC

If the PC which you plan to use as a scanner server PC is already
configured in a networked environment, you can skip this chapter
and proceed to Chapter 2, "Installing the Software."
To allow networking, the scanner server PC and the client PCs in
the network require a Network Interface Card and a Network
Interface Card (NIC) driver. Install the Network Interface Card
and Network Interface Card (NIC) driver to the scanner server
and the clients. For installation procedures, refer to the
corresponding manuals included with the card.

Installing the TCP/IP protocol (Windows 98, 95)

To install the TCP/IP protocol on the scanner server PC and client
PCs in the network:
1. Click the Start button on the Windows taskbar and select
Settings->Control Panel.
The Control Panel window appears.
