The side airb ag is trigg ered in the ev ent of
a side-on collision to form a safety cushion
for the driver or front passeng er in the
respective door area. This substantially
red uces the risk of injury to the upper body
and pelvis.
Curtai n airbag system 3
In the event of a side-on collision, the
curtain a irba g system triggers and
prov ides a safety barrier in the head area
of the vehic le. This considerably reduces
the risk of injury to the head in the event of
a side-on collision.
