Setting and using the oven programmer/timer
Setting the time and selecting manual operation mode
After your appliance is connected to your mains supply for the
first time, the numbers on the timer display will flash. Before
you can select a cooking function or set a temperature, you
must set the time and put the appliance into "manual
operation" mode.
o Press the manual operation button and end cook button
simultaneously and then release them. Two dots on the timer
will flash.
o Within 3 seconds of releasing the buttons, use the plus and
minus buttons until the time in the timer display reaches the
time of day.
o Once you have released either the plus or minus buttons, after 3
seconds the two dots on the timer display will stop flashing and
the time of day will be set.
o The manual operation symbol will appear on the timer display.
Before first use
o To remove any residue from the oven that may have been left
from the manufacturing process, you should select either the fan
or conventional oven function and set the thermostat to its
maximum temperature setting.
o It is perfectly normal for a smell to be produced during this
process.
o You should make sure that any windows in the room are left
open during this process.
o It is advisable for you not to remain in the room whilst the
burning off process is taking place.
o You should leave the oven on maximum setting for 30 – 40
minutes.
