Using the Sound Retriever

When audio data is removed during the WMA/
MP3/MPEG-4 AAC compression process,
sound quality often suffers from an uneven
sound image. The Sound Retriever feature
employs new DSP technology that helps bring
CD quality sound back to compressed by
restoring sound pressure and smoothing
jagged artifacts left over after compression.
• Default setting: ON

Press S.RETRIEVER.
The newly set value displays for 5 seconds.
• Use / or S.RETRIEVER to set the Sound
Retriever to ON/OFF as desired.
Note
1 When Bluetooth AUDIO function is selected, 'Vivid' is not displayed.

Using the sound effects

You can add exciting effects to audio sources.
• Default setting: OFF

Press SOUND.
The newly set value displays for 5 seconds.

– Produces a sharpened effect
Vivid
similar to that experienced at a live
concert.
Lo-Fi (Low Fidelity) – Produces a retro-
feel to music play.
ALC (Auto Level Control) – This unit
equalizes playback sound levels.
OFF –
Revert sound to its natural state.
• Use / or SOUND to switch Sound
modes.
