8. OPTION SETTINGS
[Transfer Format] (See note 15)
This specifies the file transfer format. (The SMPTE 314M DIF format is the default format.)
[Transfer Protocol] (See note 15)
This specifies the file transfer protocol to be used for file transfer. (FTP is the default proto-
col.)
[Check file attributions] (See note 15)
When clip data is to be exported, this checks file attributions (overwrite prohibitation) if there
are files with the same name on the video server as clips being exported to.
[Support Allocate Command] (See note 15)
Prior to the file transfer (Export) from NLE to the server via ClipCopy software, this makes it
possible to inform the size of file to the server.
[Clip Name Options...]
When exporting clips, this specifies clip (file) names and limits clip name length.
[Enable Clip Name Validation]
[Enable File Name Validation]
This checks the filenames when clips are to be exported to the server. The characters
which cannot be used as BIN names and clip names were specified in the Chapter 1
''Introduction,'' but checks on such characters as !, @, #, $, &, –, (, ), + and ¥ are per-
formed by this.
[Clip Name length]
This specifies whether clip name length is limited or not. When Define maximum length
has been selected, the number of characters of clip names can be entered.
