Wire Specifications
Shielded Level 4 communication wire is now recommended for all commu-
nication link wiring on the new VariTrac CCP . This is the same wire which is
recommended for the Tracker Version 10 Comm5 communication link.
The term "Level 4" is used to specify a particular performance of communi-
cation wire and is normally associated with LonTalk
ent from Category IV (four) wire and Category V (five) wire. The specification
information for Level 4 wire can be found in the "LonWorks
Topology Transceiver User's Guide" at www.echelon.com.
Shielded Level 4 communication wire can be purchased from two qualified
suppliers: Windy City Wire and Connect-Air.
