File Description

The file description is entered in the first three data entry areas at the top of the screen. Use the up,
down, right, and left arrows to move the highlight bar to any one of the data (text) entry positions.

Device Configuration

This line provides information about the card part you selected. Use the up, down, right, and left
arrows to move the highlight bar to the desired position within the data entry areas described in this
section.

DEALER - (mandatory entry) Enter up to 39 characters as your dealer name. Only 30
characters are displayed in the load menu. Make sure the first character of the dealer
name is an alpha character. Only the first eight characters (and the extension .AXW) are
used as the file name when you save the file on your disk. An example of the file name is:
ABC1Dealer or ABC 1 Dealer = ABC1DEAL.AXW
ABC2Dealer or ABC 2 Dealer = ABC2DEAL.AXW
OB - (optional) Enter up to 39 characters for a job name. Only 30 characters are
displayed in the OPEN menu.
DESC - (optional) Enter up to 39 characters to describe each specific card as it is
documented. Only 30 characters are displayed in the OPEN menu.
PO - (optional) Enter up to 24 characters for a purchase order number.
SO - (optional) Enter up to 7 characters for a sales order number.
DEVICE indicates the device number of the selected CardFrame.
CARD indicates the currently selected card type number.
OF CAGE indicates the currently selected CardFrame number and card type. When
starting a new file, position the highlight bar over EMPTY (FIG. 3) in this space, and
press return to display a card type menu. Use the up/down arrows to scroll through the list
and use return to select a highlighted choice.
Configured as indicates the alternate configuration of the selected Axcess card; not all
cards have alternate configurations.
