Ensure the correct automatic transmission fluid is used. Transmission
fluid requirements are indicated on the dipstick or on the dipstick
handle. MERCON and MERCON V are not interchangeable. DO NOT
mix MERCON and MERCON V. Refer to your Scheduled Maintenance
Guide to determine the correct service interval.

Indicates only approximate dry-fill capacity. Some applications may
vary based on cooler size and if equipped with in-tank cooler. The
transmission fluid level should be set by the indication on the dipstick.

5.7L (6.0 quarts). Use Motorcraft 5W30 Super
Premium Motor Oil, Ford specification
WSS-M2C153-G.

Fill to line on reservoir. Use Motorcraft
MERCON ATF.
3.2L (3.4 quarts). Use Synthetic MERCON
ATF.
5.5L (5.8 quarts). Use Motorcraft MERCON
ATF.
16.1L (17.1 quarts). Use Motorcraft MERCON
2
ATF.
16.7L (17.7 quarts). Use Motorcraft MERCON
2
ATF.
