Select the appropriate Grid setting to set the scale for the visualization. Select a more Rough
setting if the survey routes are far away from each other or a more Fine setting if survey
routes exist very near to each other. The more survey routes you have, the finer you can set
the grid to, and the more accurate your survey visualization will be.
The visual grid can be turned on or off from the View menu.

Optionally set the dBm value range and number of visualization colors by clicking the Legend
Properties button. The default setting is between -90 (weak) and -10 (strong).
Alcatel recommends between -75 dBm and -35 dBm nominal to ensure good network
performance.

Click the Legend Details button to display the accurate dBm ranges for different colors.
The figure below shows how Signal Strength View displays the strongest RSSI at each location for the
selected access points. The dotted line is the recorded site survey route.
The grid lines are also turned on to see the accuracy of the visualization.

Displays the strongest RSSI at each map location.
Displays the 2nd strongest RSSI at each map location. This measurement
is useful for determining network redundancy and/or capacity.
Displays the 3rd strongest RSSI at each map location.
If you have surveyed a large outdoor (or indoor) area in a limited time,
there are likely some spots that have not been visited. To display a
continuous RSSI surface over the survey area, select rough. To see a
more detailed surface near the surveyed routes only, select fine.
If you have surveyed a smaller indoor (or outdoor) area with lots of
survey routes, select fine.
