Draw the needle thread to the left through the hole

on the foot. Place the fabric under the foot and
lower the needle at the starting point of the
buttonhole mark. Then lower the foot.

NOTE: Make sure there is no gap between the slider
and spring holder, otherwise the left and right
length will be different.

Depress the foot control to sew a buttonhole. Stop
the machine when the buttonhole is completed.
Raise the foot and cut the both needle and bobbin

threads leaving 10 cm (4") thread ends. Pull the
bobbin thread to draw the needle thread to the
wrong side of the fabric, and tie them together.
Remove the fabric and place a pin just before the

bartack at each end to prevent cutting bartacks.
Cut the opening with the seam ripper.

To repeat buttonhole sewing:
Select the other pattern and re-select the

buttonhole by turning the pattern selector dial in
either " 1 " or " 2 " direction to reset for sewing the
next buttonhole.

After the buttonhole sewing is finished, push the

buttonhole lever upward as far as it will go.
