Syntax Errors
The messages are listed in numeric order and grouped by type. Missing numbers in
message sequences are reserved for future development.
Fatal Errors
*** FATAL ERROR *** [1]:
Cannot begin to allocate memory for cross reference data.
Cause. noft cannot allocate memory, probably because noft has an internal
problem.
Recovery. Give the object file being examined and the series of commands that you
used to your service provider for analysis.
*** FATAL ERROR *** [2]:
Cannot finish allocating memory for cross reference data.
Cause. noft cannot allocate memory, probably because noft has an internal
problem.
Recovery. Give the object file being examined and the series of commands that you
used to your service provider for analysis.
*** FATAL ERROR *** [3]:
Do_command was unable to complete the command: command-name.
Cause. This supplementary message follows another fatal error message that
describes the specific nature of the problem.
Recovery. Correct the problem that the other message describes.
*** FATAL ERROR *** [4]:
Error reading object file: filename.
Cause. A file input or output error occurred or there is bad end of file.
Recovery. Restart noft and then rebuild the object file.
