ASSEMBLY REQUIREMENTS EXHAUST DUCT When you use the unit as an air conditioner, the hot exhaust air and evaporated condensate water must be vented out of the room. The exhaust duct and venting kit serves this purpose. NOTE: The exhaust duct and venting kit should not be used while the unit is operated in dehumidification, or tan mode.
NOTE: In order to achieve maximum room cooling efficiency, the exhaust duct should remain as short and straight as possible. To further shorten the exhaust hose, first unthread either exhaust duct adapter clockwise to remove it. Then cut the hose to desired length. It is not recommended to increase the lnanufacturer's length of the exhaust hose.
