Attach aproper lens t othe camera's body.
When y ou use one ofthe following lenses with theJ!'_-X, all t he camera's

(b) Lenses with anAperture A (Auto) position, when u sed i nthe

Turn the camera off before attaching
or removing
the tens to prevent
unexpected
lens movement.

functions will be restricted.

• With factory default settings, the camera will not work with lenses other than
those listed above and accessories.
Set [22. Using Aperture
Ring] Lo
[Permitted]
in the [C Custom
Setting 4] menu to use them. (p.284)
Check that the camera is turned off.
Remove
the body mount
cover
(_)
and lens mount
cover
(F2_).
Be sure to put the lens down with the
lens mount side facing upward to
protect the lens mount from damage.
Align the Lens mount index
(red dots: _3_)on the camera
and the lens, and secure by
turning the lens clockwise until
it clicks.
After attaching, turn the lens
counterclockwise
to check that the lens
is locked in place.
