Tool
A chute clean-out tool is fastenedto the topof the auger housing
with a mountingclip. See Figure7.The tool is designedto cleara
chute assemblyof ice and snow.This itemis fastenedwith a cable tie
at the factory.Cutthe cabletie beforeoperatingthe snowthrower.

stoppedbeforeusingthe clean-outtool to clearthe chuteassembly.
Tire Pressure
Beforeoperating,checktire pressureand reducepressurein bothtires
to between15psi and 20 psi.
NOTE:If the tire pressureis not equal in both tires,the unitmay not
travel in a straightpathand the shaveplatemaywear unevenly.
ADJUSTMENTS
Skid Shoes
The snowthrowerskid shoesare adjustedupwardat the factoryfor
shippingpurposes.Adjustthem downward,ifdesired,prior to operat-
ingthe snowthrower.
lit is not recommended that
this
thrower
you operate
snow
on
gravel
as it can easilypick up and throw loosegravel,causingpersonal
injuryor damageto the snowthrowerand surroundingproperty.
Forclose snow removal o n a smoothsurface,raiseskid shoes
higheron the augerhousing.
Usea middleor lowerpositionwhenthe area to be clearedis
uneven,such asa graveldriveway
NOTE:If youchooseto operatethe snowthroweron a gravelsurface,
keepthe skid shoes in positionfor maximumclearancebetweenthe
groundand the shaveplate.
To adjustthe skid shoes:
1.
Loosenthefour hex nuts(two on eachside)and carriagebolts.
Moveskid shoesto desiredposition.See Figure8.
2.
Makecertainthe entirebottomsurfaceof skid shoe is againstthe
groundto avoid unevenwearon the skid shoes.
3.
Retightennuts and bolts securely.
