IMPORTANT: If youareshiftingspeeds whilethe mowerisstationary it maybe
difficult to shift intofirst speed undercertainconditions.Thisiseasilyremedied by
brieflyengaging the drivelever.
Theoperationof any lawn mowercan resultinforeign objectsbeing
thrown intothe eyes,which candamageyour eyesseverely.Always
wearsafety glasses while operating the mower,or while performing any
adjustments or repairs on it.
NOTE: Your m owerisequipped withan advanced i nternaldrivesystem for ease of
useandsmoothshifting.Whenturningor pullingthe unit rearward, y oumaynotice
higherthan normalresistance i nthe rearwheelsundercertainconditions.Thisis
perfectlynormalandcanberemediedbyallowingthe unit to roll forwardslightly
withoutthe drivelever(s) e ngaged beforepullingbackwards.
Usingas Mulcher
Formulchinggrass, r emove the grasscatcher a ndsidedischarge chutefromthe
mower.Foreffectivemulching,donot cutwet grass. I f thegrasshasbeen allowed
to growinexcess o f fourinches, m ulchingisnot recommended. Usethe grass
catcher t o bagclippingsinstead.
Using GrassCatcher
Youcanusethe grass catchertocollectclippingswhileyouareoperatingthe
mower.

Attachgrasscatcher f ollowinginstructionsinthe "Assembly" s ection. G rass
clippingswill automatically collectinbagasyourun mower.Operate mower
until grassbagisfull.
2.
Stopenginecompletely byreleasing the bladecontrol.Makesurethat the
unit hascometo acomplete stop.
3.
Liftdischarge doorandpullgrassbagupandawayfrom the mowerto
remove the bag.Dispose o fthe grassclippings andreinstall t he bagwhen
complete.
NOTE: Makesureto cleananyexcess g rass from aroundthe rearopeningof
the mower,especially betweenthe transmission c overandsidewall o n the
left handsideandalongthe bottom,to ensure tight fit of bagontomower.
If you strike a foreign object, stop the engine. Disconnect the sparkplug
wire, thoroughly inspect m ower for any damage,andrepair damage
before restarting andoperating. Extensive v ibration of mower during
operationisan indication of damage.Theunit should be promptly
inspected andrepaired.
