CuttingHeight
Therearwheelcuttingheightadjustmentleverislocated above the rearleft wheel.
SeeFigure IOAinsert.
I. Pullleverout andawayfrom mower.
2. Moveleverforwardor back fordesiredcuttingheight.
3. Release l evertowardsmowerdeck.
Thefront wheelcutting heightisdetermined byselecting oneof sixpositions on
eachcaster assembly. Toadjustfront cutting height,referto Figure lOBandproceed
asfollows:
1. Remove w ing nut fromaxlebolt. Slide axlebolt andwavewasher fromthe
assembly a ndselect a cutting height.
2. With wave washeronaxlebolt,reinserthardware in the square holedesired
throughwheelassembly andsecure withwing nut previously removed.
IMPORTAIVT:AII wheelsmustbeplacedinthe samerelativeposition.For
roughor unevenlawns, m ovethe heightadjustmentleverto a higher
position. T hiswill stopscalpingofgrass.
Thecasters canbe locked in astraightaheadpositionor positioned to swivelfreely.

1. Lift lockpins.
2. Place inlargerholesto lockwheels.Place pinsinsmaller holesto allow
casters to rotatefreelyforturning.
HandlePitch
Forconvenience o f operation, y oumayadjustthe pitchofthe handleasfollows:
1. Remove s tarknobsandcarriage boltsfrom handle. S eeFigure 11.
2. Position the handlein oneofthe threepositions that ismostcomfortable.
SeeFigure 11inset.
3. Secure into positionwithstarknobsandcarriage boltsremoved earlier.
Drive Control
Theadjustment w heelislocatedinthe speed control h ousing andisusedto tighten
or loosenthe drivebelt.Youwill needto adjustthe drivecontrolif the mower
doesnot propelitselfwiththe drivecontrolengaged or if the mower'swheels
hesitate with the drivecontrolengaged. I feitherof theseconditions occur, r otate
adjustment w heelclockwise to tighten cableorcounterclockwise t o loosenthe
cable.SeeFigure 12.
NOTE: Forease of adjustment, t he speed controlshouldbe inthe second or third
speed.
