Combustible mantel columns (legs) that
protrude less than 4" (measured from the
fiber board) must be 2" from the glass frame.
If the mantel columns protrude more than 4",
they must meet the sidewall clearance (12"
from the glass frame).
Non-combustible mantel columns do not
have a minimum clearance.
