To remove the battery pack
Close the LCD screen. Slide the BATT (batter},) release lever (_) and remove the batter}, pack

To use a wall outlet (wall socket) as a power source
Make the same connections as "Step 1: Charging the batter}, pack."
Noteson the battery packandthe ACAdaptor
• When you remove the battery pack or disconnect the A(" Adaptor, close the LCD screen and make sure
that the H (Movie) lamp/O (Photo) lamp (p. 15)/ACCESS lamps (p. 13)/access lamp(p. 44) are turned
oK
• Do not short circuit the DC plug of the AC Adaptor or battery terminal with any metallic objects. This
may cause a mal%nction.
• In the defhult setting, the power turns offautomatically if you leave your camcorder without any
operation tor approximately 5 minutes, to save battery power ([A.SHUT OFF]).
