Tipsfor shooting a panoramicimage
Pall or tilt the camera ill all arc with a
constant velocity and ill the same
direction as the indication on the screen.
[Sweep Panorama] is better suited for
still subjects, rather than moving ones.

that you use a wide-angle
lens.
• When
you use a lens that has a long focal length,
pan or tilt the camera
more slowly
than when
you use a wide-angle
lens.

the scene and press the shutter
button
halfway,
so that you can
lock the focus,
exposure,
and white
balance.

• If a section
with greatly
varied
shapes
or scenery
is concentrated
along
a
screen
edge, the image
composition
may fail. In such case, adjust
the
frame composition
so that the section
is in the center
of the image,
then
shoot again.

the image

Tocreate3D-images
Set the mode
dial to [::=2:1 ( Sweep
Shooting),
select
[3D Sweep
Panorama],
and shoot the image.
Using the same operation
as that for Sweep
Panorama,
the camera
records
multiple
images
and combines
them to create
a 3D-
image.
You can view
these 3D images
using a 3D-compatible
TV. For
details
on 3D-shooting,
see page
195.
To set the pan or tilt direction
You can set the direction in which to pan or tilt the camera.
