unit, Follow the instructionscarefully.
Changing
Engine Oil
NOTE:Dependingon the engine modelfoundon your
tractor,it may be necessaryto removethe tractor'sside
panel in order to replacethe oil filter (if so equipped),
1, Pop openthe protectivecap on the end of the oil
drainvalve to exposethe drainport, See Figure16,
2, Removetheoil fill cap/dipstick fromthe oil fill tube,
3, Pushthe oil drain hose(packedwith this manual)
ontothe oil drain port, Route theoppositeend of the
hoseintoan appropriateoil colbction containerwith
a capacitygreatenoughto colbct the usedoil
4, After theoil has finisheddraining,pushtheoil drain
valveback in, rotateit clockwiseto lock the valve
closedand re=capthe end of the oil drainvalve to
keepdebrisfromenteringthedrain port,
5, Servicethe oil filter (if soequipped)as instructedin
the separateKohbr Operator/Owner M anualpacked
with yourunit,
Performthe abovestepsin the oppositeorder afteroil
hasfinisheddraining,
6, Refillthe enginewith newmotoroil as instructedin the
KohlerOperator/Owner M anualpackedwith your unit,
IMPORTANT: R eferto the KohlerOperator/Owner
Manualpackedwith yourunit for informationregardingthe
quantityand properweightof motoroil
Air Cleaner
Servicethe pre=cbaner,if so equipped,and cartridge/air
cbaner elementas instructedin the Kohbr Operator/
OwnerManualpackedwith your unit,
Spark PJug(s)
Thespark plug(s)shouldbe cleanedand the gap reset
oncea season,Sparkplug replacementis recommended
at the startof each mowingseason,Referto the Kohbr
Operator/Owner M anualfor correctplug type and gap
specifications,
Lubrication

brakeand lift linkageat bast oncea seasonwith lightoil
Rear Wheels
The rearwheelsshouldbe removedfrom the axles once
a season,Lubricatethe axles and the rimswell with an
all=purpose greasebeforere=installing t hem,
Front AxJes
Eachend of the tractor'sfront pivot bar is equippedwith a
greasefitting, Lubricatewith a greasegun after every25
hoursof tractoroperation,
Cleaning
the Engine
And Deck
Anyfuel or oil spilledon the machineshouldbe wiped
off promptly,DoNOT allowdebristo accumulate around
the coolingfins of the engine or on anyotherpart of the
machine,
IMPORTANT: T he useof a pressurewasherto cban your
tractoris NOT recommended, I t maycause damageto
