Troubleshooting
Most
problems
you
encounter
with
your
TV you
can
correct
by consulting
the
Troubleshooting
list that
fbllows.
TV Problems
TV won't
turn
on
•
Press the _i_ button.
•
Make sure the TV is plugged
in.
•
(heck
the wall receptacle
(or extension
cord) to make sure it is "live" by plugging
in something
else.
•
Something
might be wrong with your remote control.
Press the POWER button
on the fixmt of the TV. If the TV turns on,
check the remote control solutions on p. 56.
•
'Ihe ti-ont panel controls may be locked
(disabled).
Use the remote control
to unlock the h-ont panel controls by selecting
the
l')_)nt Pa'nd BN& in the Par_ta! Controt_ menu and choosing
View.
Controls
don't
work
•
If you're
using
the remote
control,
press
the 'I_ r button
lir_t to make
sure the remote
is in 'I_ r mode.
•
'Ihe
ti-ont panel
controls
may be locked
(disahlcd).
Use the remote
control
to unlock
the h-ont panel
controls
by selecting
the
l')_)at I_a'nel BN& in the Par_ta!
Controt_ menu
and choosing
View.
•
Unplug
the 'INr lor two minutes
and
then
plug it back

TV turns off while
playing
•
Scheduled

Electronic
protection
circuit may have been activated because of a power surge.
Wait 30 seconds and then turn the TV on
again.
If this happens
ti-equently, the wfltage in your house may be abnormally
high or low.
TV turns on unexpectedly

Go to p. 39 tor instructions.
Blank screen

Make sure the component
connected
to the TV is turned
on.

Try another
channd.

are set too low.
