On-screen
Displays
The INFO button
shows the status of the VCR (STOP = I,
PLAY = ,, RECORD = e, etc.), channel number, time counter,
time, and tape speed on the TV screen. The date and time must
be set before they can be displayed.
1.
Press INFO to see the on-screen
displays.
2.
Press INFO again to have only the time counter remain
on the screen.
3.
Press INFO again to have no displays
appear on the
TV screen. This is useful for dubbing
tapes.
Turning
off the VCR also resets the displays.
Audio
Setup
Features
The audio setup features
enhance your tape playback and
recordings.
The features
in this section are accessed by using the
AUDIO SEL button
on the remote control.
In order to receive a
High Fidelity playback, you must use AN cables to connect your
VCR to your TV or Stereo (See the Connections section of this
manual for more information).
The VCR's default
audio mode is stereo. This is reflected
in both
the rQ[] appearing
on the front
panel's display.

Pressing the AUDIO SEL button changes the setting to mono
sound coming from the left channel
(l'Q). This setting is fine
if your TV does not have stereo capabilities
or if you do not
have A/V connections.

Pressing the AUDIO SEL button on the remote control
again
changes the audio channel to right only (1_1).
Pressing the AUDIO SEL button again removes the audio
information
altogether.

Select STEREO for normal or stereo broadcast
TV recording.
Select MONO if the stereo signal is weak and the sound is
too noisy.
To receive Hi-Fi stereo sound, use
audio-video cables with a compatible
TV or receiver, Using only the RF
OUT jack will not produce stereo
sound.
