Playback Options (cont'd)
Forward/Reverse
Searching
When in play mode, press and release
the W/Search or REW(ind)/Search but-
ton. A fast forward or reverse picture
search will begin.
To return to playback, press the
PLAY(X2) button.
Super High Speed
Searching
When in play mode, press the
FF/Search or REW(ind)/Search button,
then press again and hold. The unit
will now search in super high speed.

To return to normal playback, release
the W/Search or REW(ind)/Search but-
ton.
Viewing a StillPicture
When in Play mode, press the PAUSE
button. A still picture (frozen image)
will appear on-screen.

Viewing a Double
Speed Picture

When in play mode, press the
PLAY(X2) button again. The picture
runs at twice the playback speed.
Sound is muted.

To return to playback, press the
PLAY(X2) button once more.
Viewing a Slow Motion
Picture
When in play mode, press the SLOW
button. A Slow playback image
appears.
To return to normal playback, press the
PLAY(X2) button.
Noise Cancelling
Each time you press the TRACKING
button, the noise lines (picture distur-
bance) will change position on the
screen.
To release the still picture and return to
normal playback, press the PLAY(X2)
button or the PAUSE button again.

• Still mode automatically switches to
Stop mode after five minutes to pro-
tect the VCR and the tape from
damage.
• Slow mode automatically switches
to Play mode after three minittes to
protect the VCR and the tape from
damage.
• lfa still picture vibrates verticall);
stabilize it by pressing the TRACK-
ING (Up/Down) buttons on the
remote control (any other vertical
jitter should be removed with your
TV's vertical hold control, if your
TV has one).
• During searching, noise bars will
appear on-screen.
