• Applique
Baste (or fuse with iron-on fabric
joiner) applique pieces on the fabric.
Stitch around the applique making sure
the needle taUs along the outer edge of
the applique.
When sewing corners, lower the
needle down into the fabric. Raise the
presser foot and pivot the fabric to the
right or left.
• Appliques
Faufillez l'appliqne (on faites-la
adhdrer iz chaud). Piquez tout autottr
au point lanc_ de mani_re a cacher
conzpldtement le bord brut.
Pour passer tin coin. piqnez l'aiguille
dans ie ttssu, soulevez le pied-de-
biche, puis tournez ]' onvrage.
• Aplicaciones
Bastee (o pegue con tela autoadhesiva
t6rmica) los pedazos de aplicaciones
sobre la tela. Puntee alrededor de la
aplicaci6n para asegurarse de que la
again cae sobre el borde exterior de la
aplicaci6n.
Cuando est_ costendo esquinas, baje ta
aguja para que entre en la tela. Alce el
pie prensatetas y gire la apticaei6n
hacia la derecha o hacia la izquierda.

• Bar Tacking
This stitch is similar to a very short satin
stitch and is used to reinforce points of
strain such as corners or pockets and
straps on lingerie.
Sew 4 to 6 zigzag stitches.
