Network selection

The cellular network to which your
phone is connected can be selected
either automatically or manually.
In
Automatic
mode, the phone
automatically selects one of the
cellular networks available in your
area.
In
Manual
mode, the phone shows a
list of the available networks and
you can select the network you wish
to use if this network has a roaming
agreement with your home network
operator. If no such agreement is in
force, the text
No Access
displayed and you must select
another network. The phone stays in
manual mode until the automatic
mode is selected or another SIM card
is inserted into the phone.

Confirm SIM service actions

You can set the phone to display the
confirmation message when you are
using SIM card services. See
services (Menu 11)"

When the keypad is locked,

Note: When Keyguard is on,
calls may be possible to the
emergency number
programmed into your
phone (e.g. 112 or other
official emergency number).
Key in the emergency
number and press
The number is displayed
only after you have keyed in
its last digit.
Locking the keypad
automatically
You can set the keypad of your
phone to lock automatically after a
preset time delay. You can set the
delay time from 10 seconds up to 59
minutes 59 seconds and when the
time is up, the keypad locks
automatically preventing accidental
keypresses.
1. Press Menu, select Settings, and
then
Keyguard
2. Select
Automatic
3. When you select On, the phone
displays
Set
delay:. Key in the
time.
Note that the keypad locks
automatically if your phone is in the
standby mode and the preset time
delay expires.
