Balancing the Thread Tension
The thread tension should be adjusted
depending on the sewing materials, layers of
fabric and sewing method. To ensure perfect
sewing results, the thread tension must be
perfectly tuned. Set the required thread tension
with the thread tension dial.
Balanced tension:
The ideal straight stitch has threads locked
between two layers of fabric, as shown in the
picture.
Thread tension is too tight:
If the needle thread tension is too high the
threads are interlaced above the top fabric.
Loosen the needle thread tension by turning the
dial to the left.
Thread tension is too loose
If the needle thread tension is too low the
threads are interlaced below the lower fabric.
Tighten the needle thread tension by turning the
dial to the right.
