Requirements and Instructions
1, This appliance must be properly grounded. Electrical shock can result ifthe
dryer is not properly grounded. Follow the instrectior_ in this manual
for p_oper grounding.
2. Do net use an e×tension cord with this dryer. Some exiension cords are not
designed to w_thstand the amounts of electrical current lhls dryer ul_hTes and
can melt, c_eatJng electJic shock and/or fire ha:_ard. Locate the dryer within
reach of the receptacle for the lenglh power cord to be purchased
allowing some slack tn the cord_ Refer to the electrical requi_emenls
in this manual for the proper power cord to be purchased.
3. A U.L approved strain /elid must be inslalled onto power cord, If the slrain
relief is not at[ached the cord can be pulled out of the dryer and can be cut
by an_ movement of the cord, resulf_ng in electrical shock
4. Do not use an aluminum wire receptacle with copper wired power
cord and plug (of vice vessel), A chemical seaction occurs behA_en
coppef and aluminum and can cause electrical shorts. The proper wiring
and receptacle _s a copper wired power cord w_th a coplse_ w_sed receptacle.
Note: Dryers operating on 208 Volt power supply witl have longer
drying times than operating on 240 'dolt power supply.
Danger: improper connection of the equipment grounding conductor
