Tool
A chute clean-out tool is fastenedto the top of the augerhousing
with a mountingclip. See Figure12.The tool is designedto cleara
chuteassemblyof ice and snow.This item is fastenedwith a cabletie
at the factory.Cut thecable tie beforeoperatingthe snowthrower.

Drift
Cutters
1.
Removethe two screwsand lock nutsthat secureeach drift
cutter,and removethem from the sidesof the auger housing.
2.
Turnthe drift cutters aroundand positionthem as shown inFigure
13 to the outsideof theauger housing.
3.
Attachthedrift cutterswith the screwsand lock nuts removed
earlier.
Tire Pressure
Underanycircumstance do notexceed manufacturer's recom-
mendedpsi. Equaltire pressureshouldbe maintained at all times.
Excessivepressurewhenseatingbeadsmaycausetire/rim
assemblyto burst with force sufficientto causeseriousinjury. R efer
to sidewallof tirefor recommended pressure.

Thetires are over-inflated for shippingpurposes.Checkthetire
pressurebeforeoperatingthe snow thrower.Referto the tire sidewall
for tiremanufacturer's recommendedpsiand deflate(or inflate)the
tires as necessary.
NOTE:Equaltire pressureis to be maintained at all timesfor perfor-
mancepurposes.
ADJUSTMENTS
Skid Shoes
The snowthrowerskid shoesare adjustedupwardat thefactory for
shippingpurposes.Adjustthemdownward,ifdesired,priorto operat-
ingthe snowthrower.
It isnot recommended that youoperatethis snowthroweron gravel
as itcan easilypick up and throwloosegravel,causingpersonal
njuryor damageto the snowthrowerand surroundng property.
Forclose snow removalon a smoothsurface,raiseskid shoes
higheron the auger housing.
