Sharpening isaneasy operation toperform a slong asthefollowing items a refollowed:
1. CLEAN theitem tobesharpened prior t obeginning anysharpening operations.
2. ALWAYS use thefactory b evel (cutting edge angle) asaguide tosharpening the
tool.
3. SHARPEN thetools prior t ostarting any jobinvolving thetools. The user w ill t hen
beless likely t orush thesharpening procedure, and then will d oa safer a ndbetter
job.
4. SHARPEN thetools innumerous light p ressure passes i nstead o fheavily pressing
thetool a gainst thegrinding wheel. Light passes will b esafer a nd produce a much
sharper
edge on the tool. Heaw passes will create a ragged and rough edge on the
tool.
5. DO NOT sharpen tools that are cracked or bent. A damaged tool should be
discarded.

The Utility Sharpener IS NOT to be used as a Bench Grinder to remove large
amounts of material. The grinding wheel rotates much slower than a Bench Grinder.
The grinding wheel uses a much finer grit grinding wheel than a Bench Grinder's
grinding wheel.
