- The battery pack is nearly used up.

- No memory card is inserted (p. 25).

enough tree spaces for recording images.
Delete unnecessary images (p. 51), or format
the memory card after storing the images on
other media (p. 69).
- The image data base file may be damaged.
Check the data base file by selecting _--+
[Setup[ --+ [ _ Media Settings] --+ [Repair
hng. DB El --+ the recording medium (HDR-
CX260V/CX580V/PJ260/PJ260V/PJ5801
PJ580V/PJ600/PJ600V/XR260V).
- The memory card is damaged.
- Format the rnelnory card with your carncorder
(p. 69).
- Incompatible memory card is inserted (p. 26).
The drop sensor function (p. 69) is activated,
and has detected that the carncorder has been
dropped. There_bre, the carncorder is taking
steps to protect the internal hard disk.
Recording/playback may be disabled as a
result.
The drop sensor function does not guarantee
the protection of the internal hard disk under
all possible situations. Use the carncorder
under stable conditions.
The recording medium is full.
Photos cannot be recorded during processing.
Wait tbr a while, then record.
When [ _ REC Mode] is set to [Highest
Quality FX ] or [60p Quality pS ], you cannot
capture photos while recording movies.
Furthermore, if [ _ Frame Rate] is set to
[24p] (HDR-CX580V/PJ580/PJ580V/PJ600/
PJ600V), you cannot record photos while
the camcorder is in movie recording standby
mode.

- The amount of lights is not sufficient, so
