• Open the lens cover
before turning
the unit on. (-> 17)
It is possible
to set the focus
and exposure
to the locked target.
The focus and exposure
will keep following
the subject
automatically
even if it moves.
(Dynamic
tracking)

Press the AF/AE button.
• When
Intelligent
Auto Mode is set to_
(Portrait),
the prioritized
face frame (in
orange)
will change
to the target frame,
and the subject's
face will be tracked.

Align the subject with the target
frame and press the AF/AE
button to lock on to the target.

• To change
the target, press the AF/AE
button and align the target frame
with
the new subject
and press the AF/AE
button once again.

Start recording.
• Pressing
and holding
the AF/AE
button
releases
the AF/AE
tracking.
About target frame
• In the event of failure
to achieve
target
lock, the target frame will blink red and
then disappear.
Realign
the subject
with
the target
frame and repress the AF/AE
button
to regain
target
lock.
• This function
cannot be used in Manual
Mode.
• It may track different
objects
or may not
lock the target depending
on the recording
conditions
such as the following:
When the object is too large or too small
When color of the object is similar
to the
background
When the scene
is dark
• AF/AE
tracking
will be canceled
in the
following
cases.
When the mode is changed
When the power
is turned
off
When the Scene
mode is set
When the unit is switched
to Intelligent
Auto Mode/Manual
Mode
When the unit is switched
to face-to-
face recording.
