Password Use 0-9 button on the remote control to enter a four-digit password. The first time the
password is created, you must re-enter it again to confirm the password. "Password Set"
message will appear on the screen upon confirmation.
Change Password:
You can change your password by entering
tile Parental Lock setting with the
previously set password, highlight and select the Change Password then enter the new
password.
• You need your password for any future access into the Parental Lock setting. If you
lose your password, see "Lost password" on page 44.
Country
Select the country
name of U.S.A. or Canada
for the appropriate ratings. The rating
system varies between these two countries. See Custom Rating System Chart on page 36.
Rating Off Turns off Parental Lock. No programs are blocked from viewing
based on their ratings.
Child Maximum ratings permitted are:
U.S.: TV-Y. TV-G, G
Canada: C, G, TV-Y
Youth Maxinmm ratings permitted are:
U.S.: TV-PG, PG
Canada: C8+, PG, 8 ans+, TV-PG
Young
Adult Maxinmm ratings permitted are:
U.S.: TV-14, PG-13
Canada: 14+, 13 ans+, TV-14

• If you are not familiar with the parental guideline rating system, you should select Child, Youth, or Young Adult
to help simplify the rating selection. To set more specific ratings, select Custom.
Digital Rating Off Turn Digital Rating off. No programs containing digital ratings are

Channel Block This option allows you to block channels regardless of program ratings. The password

Press ENT button when tuned to the blocked channel then enter tile password.
